History of CCHMA

2010

CCHMA was reorganized and rejuvenated with a new mission statement and new partnerships with Cape Cod and Island wide DMO’s.

1995

The birth of CCHMA. Cape Cod Members broke away from HSMAI and CCHMA was formed solely to promote Cape Cod.

1993

The first Tourism Forum in collaboration with Cape Cod Chamber and Cape Cod Economic Development Council.

1991

First scholarship awarded to the Hotel-Restaurant Management Department of Cape Cod Community College.

1990

Cape Cod Chamber promotes Cape Cod as a conference destination at the first Affordable Meetings sponsored by HSMAI.

1987

Cape Cod Chapter of HSMAI formed. First meeting was held at New Seabury Country Club.

1927

HSMAI founded in 1927 is an individual membership organization comprised of nearly 7000 members from 35 countries.

Our MISSION is to increase year round business on Cape Cod and the Islands by providing professional development programs and awarding scholarships to local high school and college students pursuing careers in hospitality; to invest in the future of the industry.

Our GOALS are:
- To leverage the power of all companies that benefit from the hospitality industry.
- To facilitate greater communication by connecting the people employed by these companies.
- To provide a forum for all business professionals by promoting regional events, business development, and industry training.
